Cats are famous for being neat. Not just because they are able to use their own litter boxes but also because they can groom most if not all parts of their furry bodies. However, this is also the reason why they vomit hairballs. Although that is natural and does not need any medical intervention, it can sometimes be troublesome not only for them but also for their owner. To start off, just like any other illnesses, preventing hairballs is much better that curing it. With this in mind, you might want to brush your felines regularly to remove their excess fur, which would otherwise be swallowed when they groom themselves. However, instead of using ordinary combs, be sure to take advantage of the purposely-made brushes that are widely available in pet shops. Also, take note if they are shedding and if they are, then besides brushing be sure to give them baths every once in a while using cat shampoo. Lastly, feed them cat food that has anti-hairball benefits.
